Gagan Narang, Samresh claim second golds in Kumar Surendra Shootin

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Gagan Narang of Indian Airlines shot 697.9 to win gold in the free rifle prone event in the ongoing VII Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championships at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Ranges here today.

This was Gagan's second gold of the competition. He had earlier won the gold in the air rifle men's event.

The silver in the free rifle prone was won by Joydeep Karmakar (695.4) of Railways won the silver, while Satguru (690.2) of Navy won the bronze.

Samresh Jung of CISF also claimed his second gold by winning the air pistol men's event with a shot of 683.1. He had earlier pocketed gold in the free pistol event.

Mahaveer Singh (678.8) of Army won the silver, while Subash Rana (673) of CISF won the bronze.
