Four more allotted land at Chandigarh Technology Park
Chandigarh, Mar 1 (UNI) Chandigarh Administration has approved the allotment of four 'built to suit' sites in Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park as per the draw of lots which took place today in the Estate Office.
Four companies-RT Outsourcing from New Delhi and Netsmartz from USA were allotted the land in the category I of the Chandigarh Information Services Park Rules (CISP) 2002/2005 while Net Solutions and Karin Infotech Limited were allotted land under category II of the CISP rules. All the four companies are leading IT companies in their respective fields.
Out of 57 companies, who applied for the land, 23 were found to be eligible and draw of lots took place among these companies separately for both the categories. While category I had six companies in fray the remaining 17 were in Category II.
Before this, nine companies had been allotted similar land after the last two draw of lots.
Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park now boasts of being the location of the finest companies in the country, which includes Infosys, Wipro, eSys, Bharti, TechMahindra (formerly Mahindra BT), IBM Daksh, Virsa Systems and Amadeus.
More plots in the BTS category would be alloted in the second phase of the IT Park.
