Five tonne vegetables donated to Tirumala

Tirupati, Mar 1 (UNI) The Chennai-based Koyembedu Vegetable Market Vendors Union has donated five tonne of vegetables to the Annadanam Canteen of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Union Leaders Soundarya Rajan and Chandran handed over the consignment to Annadanam Canteen Deputy Executive Officer Govinda Reddy yesterday at Tirumala temple.

About 25,000 pilgrims parkate free meals every day on an average.

Last year the Koyambedu vendors donated vegetables worth Rs 82 lakh, TTD Officials said here today.
