CCPA meets a few hours before Bush visit
New Delhi, Mar 1: The Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA) met today in a bid to give a final shape to India's stand on the Indo-US nuclear deal which will come up for negotiation during the meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and visiting US President George W Bush tomorrow.
The CCPA meeting, held at the Prime Minister's official 7, Race Course residence a few hours before the arrival of the US President, was attended by Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Home Minister Shivraj Patil, among others.
Official sources said the meeting gave a green signal to Dr Singh to make negotiations with regard to the nuclear deal and several other agreements slated for discussion tomorrow.
