Blast hits Russia security office
MOSCOW, Mar 1: An explosion tore through a provincial office of Russia's state security service (FSB) today and witnesses said there may be casualties, Russian news agencies reported today.
The FSB, a successor organisation to the Soviet KGB, could not be reached for comment. The blast occurred in the FSB headquarters in Nizhny Novgorod, north east of Moscow, reports said. Interfax news agency quoted a security source as saying a grenade had exploded.
