Written by: Staff

Hyderabad, Mar 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today condemned the Maoist attack on tribals coming from Salva Judum to attend a peace meeting near Darbhaguda in the tribal-dominated Dantewada district of Chattisgarh, 25 km from the AP border.

Speaking to media on the issue, Dr Reddy said every kind of support would be given to the Chattisgarh government in tackling with the situation.

Dr Reddy said that it was very unfortunate that tribals who were striving for peace in the state were targetted by the Maoists.

He said it was even worst that Maoist, even after the attack also took some tribals along with them and killed. ''Nobody in the society can support Maoists who resorted to such attack on innocent tribals,'' he added.

Everyone should condemn the Maoist attack, Dr Reddy said and assured every possible help to the Chattisgarh government in dealing with the crisis.
