2-year-old boy murdered

Bhopal, Mar 1(UNI) Wrapped in a gunny bag, body of a two-year-old boy was recovered from a field in Katangi town in the state's Balaghat district on February 27, Minister of State for Home Nagendra Singh told the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today.

The trader's son went missing 11 days ago, initially a missing person report was filed and later modified into kidnapping and hence murder after recovery of the body, the Minister said replying to a call attention notice moved by Mr K D Deshmukh(BJP) and Mr Pradeep Jaiswal(Cong).

A special police team has been formed to round up the assailants, he said.

Mr Deshmukh and Mr Jaiswal said police laxity led to the child's murder. Old enemity with the boy's father Ramkumar Nagwani seemed to be the motive for the kidnapping and murder, they added.
