Spurious liquor kills five in UP

Lucknow, Feb 28: Five people have allegedly died after consuming spurious liquor in the Rudrapur township of Deoria district of East Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hours.

Police Superintendent (Deoria) Gyan Singh told UNI over phone today that five people have died in the Rudrapur township after consuming spurious liquor during the last 24 hours.

The district administration has ordered a magisterial probe in the matter, Mr Singh added.
