Protests close Srinagar-Baramulla road

Baramulla, Feb 28: People at Pattan took to the streets in protest against the arrest of 12 people late last night, official sources said.

They said police during the night long operation arrested about a dozen people in Pattan area and its adjoining villages.

The demonstrators raising slongs against the police blocked the Srinagar-Baramulla national highway.

Senior, police and civil officials have rushed to the area.
