Security tightened along Indo-Nepal border

Siddharthnagar, Feb 25: Security has been beefed up in Uttar Pradesh along the international border with Nepal in wake of the recent spurt in Maoist violence in the Himalayan kingdom.

Basti range DIG Brihespatimani Tripathi toldsources here today (Feb 25, 2006) the vigil had been intensified along the Indo-Nepal border to check the entry of Nepali Maoists in to the country.

Civil police and Shashatra Seema Bal (SSB) sleuths were working in close coordination in this regard, he informed.
