BJP prohibits participation in Uma's Janadesh Yatra
Khargone (MP), Feb 25: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)today (Feb 25, 2006) prohibited its office-bearers and workers from participating in expelled party leader Uma Bharti's Janadesh Yatra, which is scheduled to enter this district on February 28.
The ban was imposed by BJP Khargone District President Kalyan Agrawal.
"As per the desire of the state organisation, the workers were told not to take part either directly or indirectly", the party's district media incharge Mohan Jaiswal said in a statement here.
Disobedience would attract disciplinary action.
"In a meeting at Indore, in Malwa-Nimad division, office-bearers made it clear that workers should neither meet Ms Bharti during her yatra nor participate in programmes. Defaulters must either be briefed or handed show cause notices", the statement added.
