Visit of US Under Secretary Burns fruitful: PM

New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today described as ''fruitful'' the visit of US Under Secretary of State (Political Affairs) Nicholas Burns as part of the preparations for American President George Bush's three-day visit to India from March 1.

''We are looking forward to Mr Bush's visit as an honoured guest of our country,'' Dr Singh told reporters.

Asked whether Mr Burns' meeting with Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran yesterday was fruitful, he said ''yes, it was fruitful.'' UNI SN RP ND1435
