Vadodara, Feb 22 (UNI) National selection comittee chairman Kiran More today confirmed that opener Virender Sehwag had ''fully recovered'' from his shoulder injury and was available for the selection for the first Test match against England to be played at Nagpur on March 1.

Talking to newspersons on the eve of the three-day warm-up match between England and Board President's XI at the IPCL ground here tomorrow, More said, ''Sehwag is absolutely fit.'' The ace India opener and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh had missed the last three ODIs against Pakistan following injuries. As the duo needed complete rest to recover, they were sent back home from Lahore after the Rawalpindi ODI, which India won by 7 wickets to level the series 1-1.

Yesterday, BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah had announced that Yuvraj Singh, who sustained hamstring injury during the fifth and last ODI against Pakistan at Lahore, would be rested for the first Test.

However, Harbhajan Singh was found to be medically fit.

When contacted over phone today, Mr Shah said he was yet to receive a report from team physio John Gloster about Sehwag's fitness. The board would formally announce regarding Sehwag's fitness tomorrow morning.

The selection committee is scheduled to meet here tomorrow afternoon to select a 15-member Indian squad for the first Test to be played at Nagpur on March 1. Coach Greg Chappell will also remain present at the meeting.

While refusing to make any comment on the possibility of inclusion of former captain Saurav Ganguly in the squad in place of injured Yuvraj Singh, More said, ''We have a game plan and accordingly a best 15-member team will be selected on the basis of players' performance.'' Asked whether India would go for a separate bowling coach, More said, ''Our game plan has worked very well in Pakistan. Moreover, Greg is doing a fantastic job not only in the fields of batting and fielding but also in bowling.'' He said India definitely need to develop more fast bowlers and for this special focus was being given on young talents like Sreesanth, Munaf Patel, S S Paul and others.
