Chennai, Feb 22 (UNI) Marumalrchi DMK (MDMK) General Secretary Vaiko today submitted 'wish list' to DMK President M Karunanidhi, even as the latter said the MDMK would be given 'honourable share of seats.' Emerging out after 90-minute-long talks with Mr Karunanidhi at the latter's CIT colony residence here, Mr Vaiko said he had submitted a list of constituencies the MDMK wished to contest in the coming Assembly poll and his talks with the DMK supremo were satisfactory.

Stating that talks would continue after MDMK district secretaries meeting scheduled for February 26, he said he would not disclose the number of seats or constituencies being asked for at this stage.

Mr Karunanidhi, who spoke to newspersons after Mr Vaiko left, said the MDMK would be given an honourable share of seats, but parried the question of whether MDMK would be given seats on par with the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK).

Replying to another question, the DMK leader said the 'number of seats is not a problem,' indicating that the problem lay with identifying constituencies for the MDMK.

'To the extent possible, the DMK would announce seat sharing agreements with its allies at the party's Tiruchirapalli conference to be held from March three to five,' he said.
