U.S. stocks open higher as core CPI matches view
NEW YORK, Feb 22 (Reuters) U.S. stocks opened higher on Wednesday after a report on consumer prices showed core inflation matched analysts' forecasts, easing concerns about higher interest rates.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 2.96 points, or 0.03 per cent, at 11,072.02. The Standard&Poor's 500 Index was up 0.21 point, or 0.02 per cent, at 1,283.25. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 1.73 points, or 0.08 per cent, at 2,264.69.
