Two get 10-yr RI for raping minor

Palanpur, Gujarat, Feb 24 (UNI) A fast track court today sentenced two accused to 10 years' rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping and raping a minor girl in Jamatha village of Patan district in December, 2000.

Additional Sessions Judge B H Belasare, awarded 10 years' imprisonment to -- Valji Rupnathji Thakor and Galabji Chaturji Thakor -- for raping a minor girl for two days after abducting her on December 25, 2000.

The court also fined the duo Rs 5,000 each, failing which they will have to undergo an additional one year of rigorous imprisonment.
