TRS member expresses displeasure at floor leader

Hyderabad, Feb 22 (UNI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) member Mandadi Satyanarayana Reddy today expressed displeasure at floor leader Dr G Vijaya Rama Rao not giving him an opportunity to participate in the debate on the official resolution urging the centre to accord classical language status to Telugu.

Mr Reddy, a linguist and poet, told reporters in the lobby after his party staged a walk out on the conditions of Tribals in ITDA areas that he very much wanted to speak on the matter.

I was told by my party leader that my name was sent to the Speaker. But I was not called. Instead the floor leader himself participated in the debate, he said.

Dr Vijayarama Rao however rejected the allegation and said if the name was not called by the Speaker, he could not be blamed.
