'Toffee' killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 22 (UNI) Unidentified gunmen killed a woman, identified as Shabnam Matta, who was popularly known as ''toffee'', in Sopore town of Baramulla district today, police said.

Police said Shabnam alias ''toffee'' had gone to the market at around 1845 hrs in the evening to buy essential commodities at New Colony in the apple town of Sopore when unidentified gunmen shot at her point blank.

Shabnam, alleged to have links with the security forces, died on the spot, police added.

Police have launched a manhunt to nab the killers.
