TCS positioned in Leaders Quadrant for Offshore Applications Svcs.

Mumbai, Feb 23 (UNI) Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today said it has been positioned by Gartner Inc in the 'Leaders' quadrant for the 'Magic Quadrant for Offshore Applications Services' 2006 report.

'Leaders' are vendors who are performing well today. They have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market, a TCS release said.

''TCS has always focused on delivering quality services and products and our customers have consistently ranked our applications services offerings very high,'' said the release quoting TCS CEO&Managing Director as saying.

''We believe this report is further evidence that we are realising our vision to be a global top 10 technology services provider. Our offerings and global delivery model continue to position us as the partner of choice for companies around the world.'' TCS has taken rapid strides in setting up development centers in virtually every continent including Australia, Budapest, Hungary, Uruguay, Mississauga, Ontario, Yokohama and throughout the US and India.

It also has a number of dedicated centres of excellence in the US, such as its automotive COE in Detroit, media and entertainment in Hollywood and RFID Center in Chicago.
