Sydney, Feb 24 (UNI) Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds has been ruled out of tomorrow's twenty20 match against South Africa after he strained a hip muscle during a training session.

''He is responding well to treatment however he will be out of tomorrow's Twenty20 match,'' team physio Errol Alcott said in press release here.

''He will continue to receive treatment and will be monitored over the next couple of days and a decision regarding his availability for Sunday will be made in due course,'' Alcott added.

Symonds said he was frustrated with the turn of events but is hoping to recover for the rest of the series.

''I've only ever missed two games for Australia through injury so I am considerably frustrated, but it won't hold me back for long,'' he said.
