Surat Milk Producers Union wins fair business practices award

Mumbai, Feb 22 (UNI) Surat District Cooperative Milk Producers Union and Conzerv Systems have won this year's fair business practices award under large and SME categories, according to the Council for Fair Business Practices (CFBP).

In the trade category, Asha Handicrafts Association of Mumbai and Shoppers' Stop were given the trophy and certificate for their contribution in promoting fair business practices.

Vadodara-based Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals and the Navi Mumbai-based Thane Belapur Industries Association received the certificates in large manufacturing and association categories for adopting good business practices.

Council president V B Haribhakti said the awards would be presented by biocon chairperson Kiran Mazumdar Shaw on February 24.

In all, there were 24 applications under the eligibility criteria to contest for the awards which consists of a trophy and certificates, and there is no cash award, he said.

The selection was done by a panel of judges headed by Justice C S Dharmadhikari.
