Sundaram Mutual proposes 17.5% dividend in Leadership Fund

Mumbai, Feb 22 (UNI) Sundaram Mutual has proposed 17.50 per cent (Rs 1.75 per unit on face value of Rs ten) tax-free dividend in Sundaram India Leadership Fund.

The provisional record date for the proposed dividend is February 24, 2006. Unit holders registered under the dividend option of the fund as on February 24, 2006 will be eligible for the dividend, according to a release here.

The fund is an open ended equity fund and its investment objective is to achieve capital appreciation by investing in select stocks of companies which meet criteria of 'Leaders' in their respectively sector/sub sectors.

The leaders are identified as the top two/three companies in any sector/sub sector in terms of net revenue or total income, the release added.
