Shias protest Iraq bombing in UP capital

Lucknow, Feb 23 (UNI) Thousands of members of Shia community today took to streets in the Uttar Pradesh capital in protest against the bombing of a prominent Shi'ite shrine in Iraq.

Police said here that protestors gathered at the Victoria crossing here and shouted slogans against terrorists who carried out the bombing on the shrine.

Meanwhile, UP Congress Committee president Salman Khurshid said here that the bombing was a well planned move by terrorist forces to divide the Muslim community.
