New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) A seven-member delegation of the Saudi Arabian National Recruitment Committee (SANARCOM) today called on Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi to discuss better employment conditions for Indian workers.

Led by SANARCOM president Saad Nahar Baddah Al Motairi, the delegation reiterated Saudi Arabia's commitment to provide better conditions to Indian workers reaching the country, according to Ministry officials.

The Saudi delegation sought closer cooperation between Indian recruiting agencies and SANARCOM to resolve problems faced by Indian workers and also to prevent fraudulent recruitment practices, they said.

Mr Ravi, who recalled the close links between India and Saudi Arabia and the recent visit of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz to India as the Chief Guest at the Republic Day celebrations, thanked the King for freeing Indian worker Naushad who was facing the punishment of gouging out an eye for causing eye injuries to a Saudi national.
