RS adjourned for the day over Advani issue

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) BJP members raised a uproar in the Rajya Sabha forcing adjournement of the House for the day as they continued their protest against the alleged letter from the Prime Minister's Office asking the CBI why an appeal was not made against Mr L K Advani's discharge in the Babri Masjid demolition case.

Earlier in the day, the Upper House was stalled twice after BJP members raised the issue after a report was published in a newspaper about the letter from the PMO to the then CBI Director U S Mishra.

No business could take place, when the House reassembled at 1400 hrs and the House was adjourned for the day.

The House was adjourned for the same reason earlier in the day till 1200 hrs as BJP members stalled question hour and demanded immediate discussion on the matter.
