Bhopal, Feb 22 (UNI) BJP President Rajnath Singh appears to be interested in bringing firebrand sadhvi Uma Bharti back into party ranks, former Madhya Pradesh minister and senior BJP leader Gaurishankar Shejwar said today.

He described as ''contradictory'' the suspension of four MLAs of Madhya Pradesh from the party amid initiative by seniors to bring former chief minister Uma Bharti back into BJP fold.

''Suspension of legislators Jalam Singh Patel, Sunil Nayak, Hakam Singh Chadar and Rasal Singh, for indiscipline, was improper and will lead to a further deterioration of situations,'' the staunch Uma loyalist MLA told journalists here.

Repeatedly describing himself as a BJP member ''on technical basis,'' Dr Shejwar said former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kailash Joshi, ex-Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, Kalraj Mishra and other leaders were in favour of Ms Bharti's return.

''Reports about Ms Bharti forming a party are media's creation.

Her return will avoid a BJP spilt. I have sought time for a meeting with Mr Rajnath Singh,'' he added.
