Quality of construction vital: Collector

Vijayawada, Feb 23 (UNI) Krishna District Collector Navin Mittal today said the quality of construction was very essential in developing countries.

Inaugurating a seminar on ordinary portland cement vs blended cements, organised by the National Academy of Construction here, Mr Mittal said much care was being taken in construction work in coastal areas to protect them from natural calamities.

The state government was giving top priority for quality construction in all the projects.

Mr Mittal said the usage of blended cement instead of ordinary portland cement had increased and this would help in protection of environment.
