Quake rocks Assam, Arunachal Pradesh bordering Bhutan
Shillong, Feb 24 (UNI) A moderate quake measuring 5.7 on richter scale, rocked parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and adjoining states at 0135 hrs early today.
Epicentered at latitude 27.2 degree (north) and longitude 92 degree (east), the quake was mainly felt on the Indo-Bhutan border near Arunachal Pradesh, Shillong Central Seismological Observatory Centre told UNI here.
Reports from Guwahati said two successive jolts were felt in Assam following the tremors.
The Meghalaya capital also felt the impact.
No reports regarding damages to life and property has been received as yet.
