Probe into mill scam: Gaur

Bhopal, Feb 22 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Commercial Tax Minister Babulal Gaur today informed the assembly that an inquiry would be conducted into alleged irregularities in withdrawal of about Rs 1.40 crore from the Jawaharlal Nehru Cooperative Cotton Mill in Khargone.

Responding to a question by Mr Babulal Mahajan (BJP), Mr Gaur said the funds should flow back to customers. Following a directive from Speaker Ishwardas Rohani, he assured a probe if that failed to happen.

In a written reply, the minister said, ''In 2002-03 and 2003-04, the mill was returned Rs 1.40 crore following settlement of seven appeal cases.'' UNI PKJ-AC RL PC1419
