Police fire teargas shells to disperse demonstrators
Srinagar, Feb 23 (UNI) Police burst teargas shells and resorted to a lathicharge at Maisuma, near here, to disperse demonstrators, protesting against the killing of four youths allegedly by the Army at Dodipora Handwara during a cricket match yesterday.
As the normal business activities resumed in the civil lines this morning, a group of youths started pelting stones at the police and passing vehicles at Maisuma near here.
The shopkeepers immediately downed their shutters and traffic also went off the roads.
