Pawar to inaugurate national workshop on goat-sheep on Mar. 4
Mathura, Feb 22 (UNI) Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar will inuagurate a two-day national workshop on ''Goat and Sheep Breeding and Marketing'' at the Central Institute for Research on Goats (CIRG) here on March four.
CIRG director N P Singh here today said about 250 delegates from across the country, including scientists from the animal husbandary department, officials of livestock development council, besides experts from veternary medical colleges and representatives of meat industry, were likely to attend the conference.
Dr Singh further said debate on problems being faced in the commercialisation and marketing of goat/sheep products in the country was likely to hog the proceedings at the workshop being organised under the auspices of Central Sheep and Wool Institute, Rajasthan and Indian Society for Sheep and Goat Production and Utilisation.
