Hyderabad, Feb 23 (UNI) Pandemonium, heated exchanges and procedural wrangles marked the proceedings of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly today, culminating in six opposition parties staging a walkout and forcing the Speaker to abruptly postpone listed questions and adjourn the house for a tea break.

TDP, CPI(M), CPI, TRS, BJP and AIMIM MLAs, expressing displeasure at the Congress government not implementing its election promise of reviving sick industrial units staged walkout during the question hour.

Members were not satisfied with the reply given by Industries Minister Dr J Geetha Reddy for a question by G Kishan Reddy of BJP and others.

The questions took almost two hours with all opposition leaders reading out the election manifesto of the Congress and questioning why its poll promise was not being implemented.

At one time, TRS member Nayani Narasimha Reddy came to the podium, shouting that he was not being given an opportunity to speak.

Speaker K R Suresh Reddy, while telling the member that he was not a signatory to the question, chided him for his unruly behaviour.
