No test report of human sample from NIV yet
Mumbai, Feb 22 (UNI) Amid speculation that birdflu has infected some residents in the poultry town of Navapur in northern Maharashtra, state health director Dr P P Doke clarified tonight that the state government has not received any such report from Pune's National Instiute of Virology which had been sent human blood samples for analysis.
''NIV director informed me they have not released any such report,'' Dr Doke told UNI when asked if the Pune's instiute has sent any report confirming human influzena.
''It is unlikely any report is expected (from NIV) tonight,'' he added.
Meanwhile, Navapur control room said no poultry worker has died in the area as being speculated in some media reports.
