No restriction on Pak films in India, says government
New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) There is no restriction on screening Pakistani films in India, the government today said.
The government has not imposed any restriction on imports of Pakistani feature films to India, said Information and Broadcasting Minister P R Dasmunsi.
However, there is no specific request from Pakistan for release of its films in India, Mr Dasmunsi told the Lok Sabha.
According to the government, screening of Indian films in Pakistan is presently not permitted. The Pakistan government will consider screenings on a case-t-case basis, the Minister said.
The Ministry of External Affairs has taken up the issue with the Pakistan government, he added.
