No breakthrough in village pradhan killing
Pilibhit, Feb 23 (UNI) The police here have not been able to make a breakthrough in the February 21 murder of village pradhan Raju Pandey, with two of the accused including former district president of the ruling Samajwadi Party still at large.
Police said here today that five persons accused of the killing including former SP district president Gopal Krishna Saxena were yet to be arrested.
SP general secretary and state PWD minister Shiv Pal Singh Yadav, taking cognizance of the murder, had sacked Saxena from the post of district president of the party yesterday.
Meanwhile, BJP MP from Pilibhit Maneka Gandhi visited the house of the slain village pradhan today to express condolences with the bereaved family.
