Night temperatures below normal in TN, Rayalseema

Pune, Feb 24 (UNI) Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of coastal Karnataka.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat State, North Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and North Chattisgarh.

They were above normal in some parts of Orissa, Vidarbha and of South Chattisgarh.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Andman and Nicobar.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Lakshaweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman and Nicobar. MORE UNI DWN GK PM1714
