Naidu criticises Railway Budget
Hyderabad, Feb 24 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today said the Railway Budget 2006-07 presented by the Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has ignored Andhra Pradesh in allocation of budget to upgrade the railway tracks and take up new projects.
Speaking to newspersons here, TDP President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the UPA Government has not allocated funds to take up the second phase of Multi Modal Transit System (MMTS) here, which was considered as the main public transport service.
Pointing out that Mr Lalu has allocated more budget to his own State and neglected the State which was attracting investments from overseas, he alleged that no major work has been allocated to Andhra Pradesh to provide rail transport to the people.
