N Ramachandran gets Sreenivasan Award

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 22 (UNI) Malayalam daily Kerala Kaumudi Chief Editorial Advisor and senior editorial member N Ramachandran was chosen for the K K Sreenivasan Smaraka Award in recognition for his contribution to journalism.

Union Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi would present the award at Haripad in Alappuzha district on February 26, Trust Chairman M Manoharan said today.

The award, instituted by K K Sreenivasan Memorial Trust, Haripad, carries a cash prize of Rs 10,001, a plaque and a citation.

A three-member committe, comprising Prof M K Sanu, Prof Thumbamon Thomas and Dr B A Radhakrishnan selected Mr Ramachandran for the Award, given in memory of the former legislator.
