Municipality employee commits suicide

Mysore, Feb 23 (UNI) An employee of the Mandya Municipality has committed suicide by hanging at a lodge here.

Police said Ramanna, a Horticulture Inspector with the Mandya Municipality, had taken a room in the lodge on February 20 and since then not ventured out of it.

The incident came to light today when one of the lodge employees on suspicion opened a window of the room and found Ramanna hanging from the ceiling fan.

Ramanna left a note behind saying that he had taken the extreme step unable to bear the charges levelled at him by his colleagues.
