Bhopal, Feb 24 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh assembly today unanimously passed a private member's bill while two other proposals were withdrawn.

After the lunch interval, the ruling BJP and main opposition Congress MLAs tabled the bills. The one by Mr Nishith Patel (Cong) and Mr Sharad Jain (BJP), about a Jabalpur-Mumbai air service via Nagpur, was passed.

The unsuccessful bills were by Mr Govind Singh and Mr Umed Singh Bana (both Cong). The first said dependents of deceased government servants must be provided appointment on compassionate grounds within 90 days while the second said that district hospitals, community health centres and primary health centres should be equipped with X-ray machines, laboratories and other diagnostic facilities.

Ministers concerned assured the legislators that the government agreed completely, in principle, with their view and action would be taken with sensitivity.
