Mercedes-Benz launches two latest models
New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) DaimlerChrysler India Ltd today showcased its latest editions of the S-Class and M-Class Mercedes-Benz vehicles to woo the discerning Indian clientele.
Present at the release of the two new models here, Dr Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of the prestigious car making company, said that these are the world class cars with all latest features possible in their segment.
Dr Bharat Balasubramanian, an Indian IIT graduate, launching the M-class rugged car, said the first generation of the vehicle was launched in 1997 and it won various awards the world over.
''Keeping in mind the success and demand, we have developed it further to make it more safe, comfortable and fuel efficient,'' he said.
The new M-class edition comes with a powerful engine and 7-speed automatic transmission, which gives you a trouble free driving on any kind of road.
Airmatic air suspension and the anticipated protection system ensure proper safety, he added.
Presenting the latest S-class model, Hans Multhaupt, Global Head for development of S-class, said for over five decades, the S-class has signified a special aura, intelligent technology and highest quality.
''Pioneering safety features and exemplary comfort are once again the outstanding features of the model,'' he added.
With around 500,000 units sold all over the world, the vehicle is the leader in the luxury class, he said.
