Massive protest against US in central Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 23 (UNI) Thousands of people today took to the streets in the central Kashmir district of Badgam in protest against the bomb attack on the Golden Mosque in Samarra, one of Shi'ite Islam's holiest sites in Iraq.

The demonstrators, who had come from different villages of the district to Chadoora, raised anti-United States slogans.

They alleged that US was behind the bomb attack on the mosque and other acts in Iraq to create a wedge between Sunni and Shia muslims.

The demonstrators demanded immediate withdrawal of the US and other foreign troops from Iraq.
