Major police shake-up in Tamil Nadu

Chennai, Feb 23 (UNI) In a major shake-up, the Tamil Nadu Government tonight transferred 17 senior police officials.

Following are the police personal who were transferred to different posts.

S Baskaran Superintendent of Police, Thiruvarur District, has been transferred as SP, Idol Wing CID, Chennai, in the existing vacancy.

M Thiyagarajan, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Headquarters, Chennai, has transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Thiruvaur District, vice S Baskaran.

S Murugan, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kilpauk, Greater Chennai, has been transferred and becomes new SP, Thiruvannamalai District, vice M T Ganesamoorthy, who takes over his post.

A Kaliyamoorthy, Deputy Commissioner of police, Mylapore, Greater Chennai, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of police, St.Thomas Mount, Greater Chennai, vice P Thamaraikannan, who suceeds him at Mylapore.

K P Shanmuga Rajeswaran Deputy Commissioner of police, Flower Bazaar, Greater Chennai, is transferred and posted as Assistant Inspector General of police, Headquarters, Greater Chennai, vice M Thiyagarajan, transferred.

S Choodeeswaran, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Administration, Greater Chennai, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Flower Bazaar, Greater Chennai, vice Thiru K P Shanmuga Rajeswaran.
