London-based businessman Swaraj Paul conferred doctorate degree

Jalandhar, Feb 24 (UNI) NRI business magnate and Caparo Group (UK) Chairman Lord Swaraj Paul was conferred with honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) by Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology here today.

The degree was conferred upon him at the third convocation of the institute here, in recognition of his excellent accomplishments in the fields of education, industry, social service and culture.

Mr Paul was also the chief guest at the convocation ceremony. He presented degrees and medallions to 241 students of 2005 graduate batch.

Mrs Sushma Berlia, Chairperson, Board of Governors presided over the function.
