Kidnapped school student released in Bihar
Hajipur, Bihar, Feb 23 (UNI) A school student of Vaishali district, who was kidnapped for ransom by four motorcycle-borne criminals from Hajipur on January 26, was released today by his captors after 29 days at a village in Samastipur district.
Police said the victim, Sumit Kumar, son of a Railway booking clerk, was set free at Telgawan village under Mohiuddin Nagar police station of Samastipur district.
Kidnappers released Sumit, a class IV student of Hajipur Vasistha Vidyalaya, following mounting police pressure, police claimed.
Five persons were arrested in this connection.
The Sumit hailed from Charhara village under Mahnar police station of Vaishali district.
