Kapila Vatsyayan sworn in as Rajya Sabha Member

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) Eminent art historian Kapila Vatsyayan was today sworn in as member of the Rajya Sabha.

Ms Vatsyayan, who is also president of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, was administered oath as nominated member of the House by chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhwat.

Ms Vatsyayan, along with Ms Shobna Bharatiya, Vice Chairperson and Editorial Director of the Hindustan Times and noted film maker Shyam Benegal, was nominated to the Rajya Sabha recently.

While Ms Bharatiya was sworn in on Monday, Mr Benegal is yet to take oath.
