International Conference on EMI on Feb 23, 24

Bangalore, Feb 22 (UNI) The ninth international conference on Electro Magnetic Interference and Compatibility (INCEMIC) will be held here on February 23 and 24, with Scientific Adviser to Defence Minister Dr M Natarajan setting the tone for the deliberations.

Organised by the Society of EMC Engineers (India), the event would attract more than 250 delegates from the Indian industry, defence, Government and public and private sectors.

According to a Society release here, over 110 scientific papers would be presented on different aspects of EMI and EMC like EMC in Design, power systems, signal integrity and high frequency design, besides test and measurement techniques in EMI and EMC in automotive systems.

The conference would highlight to the Government the urgent need to adopt mandatory regulations on EMI and EMC for electronic instruments being imported into the country or developed domestically. India was one of the few developing countries which did not have a regulation or legislation in place for the control of EMI/EMC, radiation and biological hazards from electronic and communication equipment such as mobile phones and communication towers, the release said.
