Hearing adjourned in fodder scam case till march 22
Patna, Feb 22 (UNI) Special CBI judge Munilal Paswan today adjourned the hearing on the point of framing charges against Railway Minister and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad, former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra and 38 others in one of the cases of multi-million rupee fodder scam till March 22.
The hearing was adjourned following the discharge petitions, filed separately by Mr Prasad, Dr Mishra, former Minister Vidyasagar Nishad, MP R K Rana, MLA Jagdish Sharma, former Income Tax Commissioner, Ranchi, A C Chaudhary and IAS (Retired) K Arumugam and three others.
The court asked other accused to file their discharge petitions if they wish so by the next date fixed for hearing.
Earlier 31 accused including former chief minister Mr Mishra, MLA Jagdish Sharma appeared in the court during the day, while Mr Prasad and Mr Rana and two others were represented by their counsel.
Meanwhile, two accused of the case former administrative officer of Animal Husbandray department, Patna, R K Das and supplier Shailesh Prasad filed seperate petitions in the court with a prayer to make them approver in the case.
Other five accused of the case were currently lodged in Ranchi jail in connection with other cases related to the fodder scam.
