Haryana Govt seeks DPR for Gurgaon, Faridabad
New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) The Haryana government has approached Delhi Metro Rail Corp for preparation of Detailed Project Reports for extension of metro corridors to Gurgaon, Faridabad and Sonipat.
Minister of State for Urban Development Ajay Maken told Parliament that so far, only DPR for extending the metro line to Gurgaon had been completed.
As per the report, extension of Delhi Metro to Gurgaon would have a lenght of about 8.95 km from Qutub Minar to Delhi/Haryana border and a further distance of 6.3 km from the border to IFFCO Chowk in Gurgaon, he said.
There were differences of opinion with regard to the most optimal alignment for the extension to Gurgaon. Alternative options were therefore being evaluated, he added.
