Haryana govt acts as book names Chautala as CM
Chandigarh, Feb 23 (UNI) The Congress government in Haryana has taken serious view of a discrepancy in a book being supplied in government schools that describes Mr Om Prakash Chautala as the Chief Minister of the state almost a year after Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda took over the reins in the state.
School Education Director General K K Khandelwal said a criminal case would be registered against the publisher for not printing the year of publication which was mandatory and for fraudulently obtaining orders in the name of the Haryana Publication Bureau.
Disciplinary action was also being initiated against District Education Officers who had placed orders for the outdated books, he said.
The book titled 'Naitik Shiksha and Samanya Gyan (Moral Education and General Knowledge), which carried the wrong information, had been withdrawn, he added.
Besides describing Mr Chautala as the CM, the book has given the Governor's name as Babu Parmanand instead of Dr A R Kidwai.
